My Story

Thank you so much for stopping by to learn more about my world.  I’m constantly growing and it’s a privilege to share my story with you.

I rarely gave thought to the future back when I was studying for my maths degree at university.  I considered various career options when the time came, and I was content with the idea of having a well paid job in the financial sector where I worked hard and had security and comfort.   I think it’s safe to say things turned out a little differently!

Life sculpted me (or did I sculpt my life?) into what I am today.  In my wildest dreams I could not have imagined it would sculpt me into (for want of a better word) an artist.  Maths suited me perfectly when I was younger.  I thought about life in a very logical simple way, and solving mathematical problems brought me a great deal of satisfaction and joy.  I was disinterested, confused, and slightly intimidated by more artistic pursuits.

I used to think that art was just painting or drawing, or perhaps making something.  I make jewellery (visit my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/tessheaven), but that isn’t what makes me an artist.  An artist, in my opinion, is someone with a vision.  I have a vision, and when I’m not working towards making that vision a reality everything feels wrong.  I express my vision in many different ways, but the underlying feeling is the same.  My mission is to go deeper and deeper into the peace within me, sharing what’s inside with you.

So how did this happen??  Life experiences, travel, music, friends, yoga, adventures, and other people’s creativity gave me glimpses of the possibilities that were open to me, and my narrow view of life was burst wide open.  I became a dreamer.  Unfortunately, I lacked the confidence then to experiment or believe in my dreams.  It’s become a necessity now.  If I don’t allow my creativity to flow I feel so lacking in energy.  It’s my driving force.

This blog is about infinite creative potential, celebrating beauty and exploring our amazing worlds.  (I say worlds because although there is overlap, we all live in our own versions of reality!)  A lot of it is about my travels because I love the variety of beauty on planet Earth.  I never want to stop exploring it.  My experiences fuel my imagination and inspire my creations.

Other artists, free spirits and gypsy souls are an even greater source of inspiration to me, and one of the purposes of this blog is to reach out and connect with those whose dreams, visions and lives inspire my own.  Share your dreams, adventures and creations with me, and together we can spread the love ❤ ❤ ❤.

I’ve spent a few minutes on your site and already love it! Wouldn’t have found if it weren’t for your follow on Twitter. Looking forward to more posts, “travel, music, friends, yoga, adventures,” does that to a person 😉
